We mow a couple acres of grass, but want the property to maintain the feel of an English Landscape Garden. Thus, we will leave some high grasses and bush, tiny streams with boards over them, underbrush in the forested areas, old fences and barbed wire, so use care when walking outside of mowed areas. You may encounter ticks, insects and other animals so please use proper precautions, like tick spray, before entering wooded areas or high grasses.
We spray for ticks in the mowed areas and they tend not to live in low grasses, so those areas should be safer. Please still check yourself upon going back inside and shower after walking in the woods. Last, please use caution at the pond, especially with children. We have not yet treated the pond, and while it’s natural, we strongly discourage swimming.
