100 year old farmstand with amazing species of vegetables and fruits, good breads and great pies and other baked goods, and assorted preserves. You can visit on your way in our out, if you’re heading south on the Taconic.
Love Apple Farm - Ghent
Great place 8 minutes away for produce, pick your own, plants, local meats, salumi, cheeses, pastas, baked goods, lunch, ice cream, and souveniers. There’s a bunch of picnic tables, inside and outside, and even a petting zoo and playground.
Barn at Millers Crossing - Claverack
Great place, 7 minutes away , for home-grown produce, amazing herbs, flowers, local meats, salumi, cheeses, honey, etc.
Churchtown Dairy- Churchtown
Gorgeous dairy farm, based on old dairy principles, by Peggy Rockefeller. The fantastic round barn holds events, they invite authors, and give tours of the farm, with pigs, cows, and chickens. They sell home-made cheeses, and raw milk, and home-grown beef and sausages. A delightful place to spend part of an afternoon. Open 24hrs, on the honor-system, you can buy their goods any time of day.
Holmquest Farms & Greenhouse - Hudson
Large variety of inexpensive, home-grown produce, and a huge greenhouse for plants and flowers. They also sell local breads.
Philip Orchards - Claverack
Very old apple farm, literally surrounding our property, and probably the origin of our apple trees. 23 different varieties of non-chemically sprayed apples and pears
Blackberry Hill Farm - Churchtown
Llamas, sheep and angora rabbits to our operation and we now produce luxury fibers for handspinners and knitters. Organic maple syrup, garlic, herbs, jams and jellies
The Llama Garden is a 2 hour hands on program to entertain and educate children about llamas and other fiber producing animals
Random Harvest - Craryville
Great market with veggies, meats, cheeses, eggs, etc from local farms. Nice prepared foods, soups, salads and sandwiches, too. Sometimes they have live music.
Kinderhook Farm - Kinderhook
Gorgeous farm, with lots of animals to see and the best quality foods:

Crimson Leaf Alpaca Farm - Hudson
This place occasionally opens their farm for you to come visit their alpacas, along with their store. They also do pop-ups in the area where you can meet their alpacas. Check their FB page to see when you can see them - they're really cute!

Nice Farmer's market often with live music. Outdoors from April to November. Indoors from February to April.

Amazing farm with great, home-made cheeses and meats:
